ICRA 2018, the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, was held in Brisbane this year and we got to pitch. ICRA is one of the largest robotics conferences in the world, so it was a pretty big moment for us to be on stage with researchers and roboticists from everywhere.
We showed the Rover and the Code Editor, and talked through how the platform takes students from drag-and-drop blocks all the way to Python in the same environment. The conversations after were really useful. People who've spent careers in robotics gave us solid feedback, and we walked away with a long list of ideas to take into product development.
Having ICRA in our home city made it extra special. We got to show what we're building from Brisbane, on a global stage, without having to leave town. Plenty of new connections came out of it that we're still in touch with.
