We received a grant through the Advance Queensland Ignite Ideas Fund, a Queensland Government program for startups bringing new products to market. For us, the timing was perfect. We'd come out of pilots with a long list of things teachers wanted us to build, and the grant gave us the resources to actually go and build them.
The funding went into manufacturing the Rover at proper volumes, developing the Code Editor further, and putting together curriculum-aligned teaching resources. It also let us expand the engineering team and start work on the classroom management tools that have since become a big part of why teachers pick the platform.
Having Advance Queensland back what we were doing meant a lot. It validated the direction and bought us the time to invest in the features schools were actually asking for, rather than rushing things to market half-finished.
