Micromelon Rover Earns Australian Made Certification

1 September 2021

Micromelon Rover Earns Australian Made Certification

The Micromelon Rover has been officially certified as Australian Made by the Australian Made Campaign, which means we get to put the green-and-gold kangaroo logo on the box. The certification recognises that the Rover is designed, engineered, and assembled in Australia.

Australian Made certification has strict criteria for local content, manufacturing, and quality. For us, the certification reflects a deliberate choice to keep production local rather than ship it overseas. Doing it this way gives us direct control over quality, lets us iterate quickly on hardware improvements, and supports Australian manufacturing jobs at the same time.

For schools, the certification is one more bit of confidence in what they're buying. Plenty of education departments and procurement teams genuinely value locally made products, and the kangaroo logo simplifies the conversation when it comes time to purchase.

The Rover is designed and assembled here in Brisbane. Every unit is hand-assembled and quality-checked before it goes out the door. Manufacturing close to our customers also means we can turn around repair requests fast and stay close to the schools using our gear.

We're really proud to put the Australian Made logo on the Rover. It says something about how we want to build this company.
