We hosted the RoboRAVE World Championships in 2024 at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Hundreds of students from across Australia and around the world came to compete across line following, sumo, and freestyle innovation events. Tim, one of our co-founders, directed the event in his role as director of Pro Active Robotics, the not-for-profit that runs RoboRAVE in Australia.
RoboRAVE is one of the biggest student robotics competitions out there, and running the worlds in our own backyard lined up with everything we care about. Hands-on STEM education that goes well beyond the classroom. The energy at the event was huge, with students of every age building, programming, and competing right alongside each other.
We had a presence on the floor for the duration so students and teachers could try out the Rover and learn about the coding tools available for their schools.
Watching students apply their skills in a competitive, collaborative environment is exactly what we built the platform to enable.
