Micromelon at the 2018 World Robots Summit

We attended the World Robots Summit as part of a Queensland delegation, supported by Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ). The summit pulled together robotics companies, researchers, and engineers from all over the world.

We had the Rover on display at the TIQ booth alongside other Queensland robotics tech, with the Queensland Robotics banner up the back. For a young Brisbane startup it was a great chance to meet people from the global robotics community and see what everyone else was working on.

It was one of a few big moments for us in 2018. The feedback from that global robotics crowd fed straight back into product development. The following year we received an Micromelon Receives Ignite Ideas Fund GrantRelated resourceMicromelon Receives Ignite Ideas Fund GrantWe received an Advance Queensland Ignite Ideas Fund grant to scale Rover manufacturing, develop the Code Editor, and build out teaching resources. to scale up Rover manufacturing, and the platform that came out of that period is the one now used in classrooms across Australia.
