We won the People's Choice Award at the Young Starters competition, a Queensland program celebrating early-stage founders. The People's Choice award is voted by the audience, so it meant a lot to us to have the room behind what we're building.
We pitched the Rover, demoed the Code Editor, and shared a few stories from our first classroom pilots. Plenty of other young companies were on stage that night, so getting the public vote felt great. The Rover wasn't even commercially available yet, so the exposure helped us connect with teachers, investors, and other people in the startup community at a really useful time.
A few weeks later we'd be pitching at ICRA in Brisbane, so 2018 was off to a busy start.
